Bible instructor, Daniel Bergman, recently posted a reel on Instagram about Mishlei (Proverbs) 30:4.
Did you know, the proverb makes direct reference to G-d having a Son?
"Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
And then:
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
If you know?"
There are websites that claim the nation of Israel is the son in question, and while Israel is referred to as the firstborn son in the Tanakh, the use of singular "shem" vs the pluar "shmot" for the word "name" implies a single Son.
Also, why would the writer ask what the son's name is if the son is Israel? Israel's name was known. At that time, Yeshua had not appeared in human form for the purpose of carrying our sins, instead we only read of Him appearing in the Tanakh as the Angel of the L-rd.
As in all writing, one must also consider the words around it, the context. The first line says, "Who has ascended into heaven or descended?"
This brings to mind Yochanan (John) 3:13.
"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven."
In this section of the B'rit Hadashah (New Covenant), Yeshua is speaking to Nicodemus, a highly respected Pharisee, who visited Him in the night to discuss His teachings. Read the chapter here. He refers to Himself as the Only one who has ascended or descended from heaven.
We believe King Solomon, known for his wisdom, was prophesying of the coming Messiah as his father King David often did.
What do you believe?

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
For G-d so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For G-d did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. -Yochanan (John) 3:14-17
