We are now on the Days of Awe, the Yamim Noraim.
These are the ten days starting with Yom Teruah (The Feast of Trumpets) and finishing on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement).
While these days are not in the Torah, they are in Jewish tradition a time of the three T’s: teshuva, tefilah, and tzedakah: repentance, prayer, and charitable deeds.
The idea is that one must cleanse and take a soul’s inventory before meeting HaShem on Yom Kippur. Many take this time to heal rifts they have with family members or friends.
Yashua our Messiah shared a similar teaching about the importance of coming before HaShem with clean hands in Mattityahu 5:23-24 (Matthew).
He said if you are bring a gift to the altar and remember your brother has something against you to “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”
It’s not always easy or possible to see eye to with others. Especially in these times.
But Yashua is the Prince of Peace. Perhaps there is a relationship or situation He is waiting for one to set before Him or ask for healing from. There is healing in His wings. (Malachi 4:2)
Go to Him.
“And the shalom of Adonai, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Yashua HaMoshiach.” Philippians 4:6 🕊
